Prakash Khatri will be in Chicago this weekend

It would be a good opportunity to present him the Petition and if possible, narrate our hardships and the extreme delays in getting our I 485 adjudicated.

Time to get our answer

Yes, we should encourage people living in and around Chicago to go and meet Prakash Khatri and ask him about our petition that we send him about month ago.

Go guys Go …..seriously who so ever lives near Chicago area should meet Prakash and also can give our I-485 Forum site and ask him to read how miserable we all are due to these silly delays….

Those who are planning to visit please sign up here. So that atleast we know that few people are visiting and you can also co-ordinate.

Unfortunately, I dont live there.

I live in a suburb near Chicago..

and will be attending this seminar with as many fellow 485'ers i can muster. Will update this thread with my impressions.

Please plan to take a copy of our petition and list of all the signatures. I personally believe handing over petition with signatures makes a big difference than just handing over only petition.

Tell him that our petition with signatures (more than 3000) was sent to him two months back but no response.

Thanks, Keep us posted.

Rsur,
I completely agree with Andy2000. If possible, Please inform Mr.Khatri and the reporter Ms.ANA MENDIETA to visit this website to understand the pain we are goooooooooooingggggg through for years.

Naanshi.

I am eagerly waiting for any update from the meeting.

Please update the forum with any information from the proposed Chicago seminar/meeting.

Re: Write to Staff Reporter

Man, I think you made the letters too small.

Seriously, the audience of this forum isn't the dumb masses who require flashy and dumb marketing tricks to get their attention focused. Most people here have demonstrated reasonable intelligence, and IMHO most of them just end up ignoring something that is designed to attract the dumb people.

Let your prose and content draw your audience, not gimmicks, they will stay much longer that way.

Repeatedly doing it makes it worse, because your "still dumb-and-responsive-to-dumb-marketing" base decreases in numbers every time.

No offense intended with the word "dumb" to anyone, replace it with whatever makes you understand the reference, without making you angry/hurt/other negative emotional response

It doesn't mean to degrade anyone. Everyone here don't have time to read all the messages. You would have seen Bold letters Italicized letters on various articles, it is not intendented for so called dumb people, it is meant for quick surfers.
Also I' m not selling any of my ideas here. Just I'm participating like any of us here for our own problems. If you want join hands with others you are welcome otherwise just wait with hopes that the problem will vanish due to some miracles(if at all it happens)!!!!!!!!!

I am sorry for not attending this..

Inspite of making plans to attend I was not able to make it to this event.

My apologies to all of you'll for raising your expectations. Being a consultant and travelling five days a week does not leave much time to get important work like this done.

That's fine, obviously we won't point finger at you since you made an attempt but there are lot of other people in Chicago who didn't even care about that.
Probably you would have read the experience of one of our other member who attented that meeting.
