there is no life or death situation with me, I been here in the US for 18 years with no problems, good job, traveling all over the states and even to foreign countries , I am thankful my situation is finally legal here and I hope everybody who deserves to be here would get theirs soon

Seems most people here have rather comfy immigration, going from a good life in another country into a great life in USA. Not many people here, thank God, Know the desperation that can make a person walk accross a desert and sneak accross a border. which I realize isn't exactly your case, but it is for many people out there.
I admire that you had the strength in your soul to keep believing that one day you will be free and legal
You deserve your freedom, and you deserve your passport in the end. I hope you get it in the smoothest smooth application process, and may God richly bless your life here so that you may help whoever had to stay behind until they too can come to freedom.

Check this out. I bet you will enjoy this. Lot of times even good attorneys will try to trap you and do whatever it takes to get your business. You remember that Sharina & myself got cancellation notices for our upcoming interviews in May. They were cancelled for God knows what reasons but this attorney told me that she has never heard of interviews being cancelled. There is definitely wrong with our file/case and FBI will be coming to arrest us anytime so her advice was I better hire an attorney right away. She will get started on my case if I charge $1000 bucks on my credit card. Wassup with that ?

Oh yeah. My previous attorney told me that I would be arrested at my Green Card interview because of my two year old marijuana misdemeanor and that I would be deported that day. He told me it would be difficult... but if I gave him a $1000, he would go there prior to the interview and "sort things out for him".
I didn't know whether to be apalled that he thought that I was that stupid or that he only asked for a grand.
It also made me think, if immigration attorneys try this with reasonably literate people who know how to type in http://www.google.com and do some research, what must they do to people who are really clueless about the whole process?
