Hello,

I don't know who to get for the Notary/Guarantor for my PR card application. I moved around a lot in the past 2 years and am currenly in my location for just 2 months.

Any tips/clues? Who did the rest of you pick?

Thanks a lot

notary

i picked one out of a phone book. Any notary will do it. They do not have to know you.

I did the same in toronto area. If you talk to few of Notary public in phone book, you will run into one who is doing this on regular basis. I was charged $40.00 for the whole package.

To Khush and rzz1gv

Just to get this clear, did the notary fill in the 'declaration of guarantor' section?
or did you fill in the 'statutory declaration in lieu of guarantor' and got the notary to fill in the 'declaration of the official' section?
if it's the latter, what was the reason you mentioned for not having a guarantor?

thanks a lot.

Notary cannot fill in the gaurantor section. Notary can only fill and sign the 'statutory declaration in lieu of guarantor'

I bacame landed immigrant in Nov. 2001 so just filled that, living in Canada for less than 2 years.
