PR card and absence questions

Hi all,

I landed last Feb and now need to drive to Canada to apply for PR card, but I need to return to US immediately as my I485 is pending.

Here are the questions:
1. What do I need to bring there in order to return to US? I have advanced parole document and AOS notice. Are those enough?
2. I haven't lived in Canada since I landed. Thus I don't have a Canadian address to fill in the application form for PR card. What should I do? Can I fill in a friend's address who lives in Canada?
3. How do Canadian government track your absence? (some stamp on the land paper when you cross over/back the border?) 4. When and what do they need you to submit evidence in order for you to qualify for a stable PR status (2 out of 5 years)

Thanks for any advice!

Thanks Ray.

But I guess my question is how do the Canadian government know your absence status except you tell them in the PR application form? What will they check to see if you are telling the truth or not? What evidence do they check?

Thanks!
