PP Stamping exp at Newark - 10/2/02

My passport was stamped today at Newark.

As per token, the lady took my papers(Arrival/Departure Record, I-94, EAD, AP), took the signature, finger prints and told me to wait. After 2 mins she called me again and told me that my photographs are not good - asked me to get new ones and contact her once I am back - got the new photos(there is one immigration photographer right next to the INS building $10) - she took the photos - asked for my passport - she stamped it and said I should expect my cards anytime from 6 to 12 months. She didn't cancel my earlier valid visas and said at POE, INS will verify the LPR(legal Perm Resident) stamp and not the visas.

The whole process too exactly 1 hr(incl the process of getting new photos)

Now the long wait for my cards and Medical RFE approval for my wife.

Did you go on your assigned day (on the approval notice) or did you go on an earlier day?

the medical RFE for ur wife , what was that about ? Incomplete medicals ??

Have they asked for the medicals to be completed again ?

By Default do they generate an RFE for incomplete medicals ( like a case where spouse was pregnant) ? Any thoughts ..

The immigration photographer might be her friend/relative...
What was, or what did she say, wrong with your original photos?
