Got our PP's stamped at SFO this morning. All in all a very painless and simple process - the horror stories from some notwitstanding.
Took bart from Fremont and got off at Montgomery station...it's about a 10 min walk from there to the Sansome street entrance. Reached there at 7.45 am and there were about 20 people ahead of us, unlike the Washington street entrance (walk in's only) which had a winding line that seemed a mile long.
Were let in at 8.40 am - dropped off the Courtesy copies of the approval notice for me an my wife in the slot near room 200B. Our names were called to counter 19 at 8.50 am.
A real nice black lady asked for our Passports, I-94, Original EAD's and AP's . Fingerprints were taken and we were then asked to wait nearby.
After what seemed like an eternity (40 mins in fact) she called us back and returned our passports with the I-551 stamp valid for 1 year and that was that. We were out of there at 9.45 am - hopped onto Bart at 10am and am back at work after a hearty meal and am feeling very sleepy too
All you waiters check the AVM tonight...you may be in for a pleasant surprise
