postpone fp'ing

Hi All,
Iam sure somebody's asked this question before , here goes

My wife is in India and Iam going next month to get her , we got our fp notices yesterday and the appointment is fixed for sometime next month . Can I reschedule for us both so that we can do our fp's once we get back ? Iam talking about delaying it for a month . Is that possible ? How far can we postpone it ? Is it OK if I postpone it ?

you generally can postpone but you are risking to delay your own petitions.

as your wife is already in india i dont think you will be able to request to postpone the finger printing as its "her" petition due to privacy acts. i accept she is your wife or her petition is not primary but they generally dont encourage that. its better to talk to your lawyer and do what they suggest.
