Postpone FP

Have any of you had to postpone FP due to being out of country
etc . My lawyer tells me we have to request alternate dates .
any clue on how much do they delay the rescheduled date ?

The FP notice I got says, "appear for FP on such and such date. If you cannot
come on that date, come on any wednesday before 84 days from the date of
the FP notice".

I am in the same boat. I will have to ask for rescheduling as i will
be out of the country on the scheduled date.

INS seems to have changed the rules. My FP notice only mentions 1 date and says that if i cannot make it on the scheduled i must send
the FP notice to the ASC asking for rescheduling. They also have stopeed doing FP before the scheduled date. I already tried twice and
have no option but to reschedule. Please let me know your experiences

I guess dinesh has one of the more recent formats of the FP.
Even though I havent seen my FP notice(lawyer mailed it yesterday)
but this is exactly how it sounded to me per lawyer . I am trying to
reschedule my wife and kids trip( depending on availablility) inspite of the penalty the airline is going to charge me .

Check your ND\'s. It may have something to do with FP\'s for after April 00. I\'m one of ND > Apr 00(ND Oct 00). I show 1 week, or any Wednesday for next 3 months.
