Posting my last message - Case Approved

Guys,
Yesterday I been told by an IIO that our (including my wife\'s) case\'s were approved and the approval letters were mailed. Counting on this information and still waiting for the letters which he said would be coming to me in a couple of days.
Details

RD - 04/02/01
ND - 04/19/01
FP - 07/19/01 (Actual date was 08/02/01)
Entered in INS comp on Aug 17 and the case was assigned to an officer on Aug 20.

P.S: I am not celebrating yet as this info has been from an IIO (might be sane or insane)....will confirm once I receive the approval letters.
 
Have you checked the AVM message?

Does it change to "This case has been approved, blah,..."?
 
AVM makes no sense..

The case was approved a couple of days back and I dont think AVM is that fast..
The message still says....975 to 995 days....(when I checked day before yesterday)
My wife\'s EAD message was changed after three weeks after getting the actual EAD by mail

Congrats....my RD,ND are also same as yours....my FP was scheduled for 31st Aug but got it done on 15th Aug....hoping to hear the magic words of \'Approved.....\' soon.

Thanks to California Service Center as the whole process from start to end took 11 Months and 15 Days.

Awesome. It happened so fast for you. Very lucky to be at the right time at right service center to get approved in 11 months. is 11 months from labor start-140-485 approval time ?

INner details..

Labor - 1 month
I-140 - 2 months
and then waited for two months to become my PD current.
3 weeks for gathering all the docs required for I-485 and were finally mailed from my attorney\'s office to INS on Mar 31, 2001
 
Raj, congrats! I thought you said you was told by IIO yesterday that your case hasn\'t been assigned

 
 
Congrats!! You are lucky - its Real Fast

My GC process had started few days before yours (in Aug 2000) - and similar stats (labor in 11 days, 140 in 2 month) - waited for PD to be current and provided all the paper work to lawyer by march 25. However, my Company screwed it up - they provided their papers by April 6 - so lawyer could mail only on April 9 (and they did by USPS as they used to do before all this front logging became big issue) and RD turns out to be April 17!!!!!!!! And now I don\'t even know when FP notice is going to come.

You are lucky and extra-thank your lawyer. (And try Lotto also - Jackpot has crossed 60 mn, I think!!)

I called again and this time he took my WAC# and verified my name and address first and then told me that my case has already been approved and the approval has been mailed.

That\'s pretty strange .. Call them for first time and they say not approved ( infact i remember you saying that they said it\'s not assigned to any officer ) and call again and they say it\'s approved.
 
Yup..it\'s strange..

Till now I have called four times..
First time (10 days back)

Confirmed!!

I confirmed with a DESI IIO...case approved on Aug-301-2001.

Time to celebrate...
