Hi Friends,

Is it possible to know if the Oath letter was issued or not? What happens if the letter is lost somewhere in mail??? Is there a way to check if it was indeed issued or not (before 90 or 120 days of wait)? The website doesn't seem to be updated yet...

Thanks.

If it was issued, the only way to know is if you make an info pass and the IO asks you about it, and if you never received it and the DO can reissue the letter. The post office doesn't keep track of such mail, each mail is the same, delivered to its intended recipient. If you think it was issued and got lost in the mail, then make an info pass and inquire.

Would it cause any issues if I apply for infopass but it turns out that the letter was never issued...would it cause any damage?

As I had mentioned in another thread, my wife's oath is next week, maybe she could ask someone there if my name is in the list and then we followup...

Any thoughts...

Thanks!

infopass is a bunch of people checking computer and giving you the status from the file. they can not do much damage. at worst, they can read the status wrong.
