Postal address for H4 resubmission?

Hi Guys,
My wife attended personal interview.She was asked to submit additional documents
by post to the following address:
American consulate General
Consular Section/FPU
220 Anna Salai(Gemini Circle)
Chennai 600 006

FPU means Fraud Prevention Unit.
It is mentioned in this URL:

I was curious whether everyone is getting the same address or only I got it?

Please post your responses.If any one has idea about it.

Did u get any response from the consulate. My application date was 7/20. We have no clue of whats happening. When did u guys apply

I am also victim.

Why dont we all discuss together and find a conclusion for this one. I tried my level best, but it is very difficult to get answers, Since you all guys might trying somehow to solve this issue.

Did anyone contacted the attorney and what did he say about this scenario? We can come up with an easy solutions based on friend's suggestions or attorney suggestions. Is there any solution for this?

Please do respond and we will all get together and try to resolve this issue.

As usual like everyone asked for w2's and since it is below the LCA, they are questioning about my current status and rejected the H4 visa. But have asked to submit the relevant documents to prove that I am in status.

what documents are you providing to prove your status now ? i too have the same situation for my wife

Sorry that i was late in replying.
I did call Chennai Conculate couple times but never got a positive response. I did send them 4 weeks back as of Aug 18th 2003 and till now I haven't received any from them.

The wait is over, wife got the passport with VISA in mail. The next problem is to get her into the country since my H1 expire on Sep 03 2003. Just thought would share this with guys waiting for their application in chennai Consulate it took 5 weeks

Hi Zipper,
If you can give me ur contact details to my email-id bscptc@yahoo.com then i would call you and clear some of my doubts. Be'cz i send 6 weeks back along with the documents that they have asked for. But we never know what happens. So I have put my fingers crossed and waiting for positive.
Now comming to your point, get ur wife at any cost by Aug30th before the actual date of ur H1 expiry. If ur current H1 is fine with right now urself being on Job then let her come on weekday too. Else see that she lands on Saturday.
And make sure that you would not delay in getting her, else you will have to undergo same pressure of getting her stamped in India itself once again with new H1. So get as early as possible.

Finally my wife is in. At the POE the guy asked her is she has an extension and she gave him the application for 7th year ext and he let her in with I94 expiry on Sep 03 2003

Finally got it..

Even I have finally got H4 stamped.
Friends my suggestion for all who are all facing this H4 Visa problem--
Please donot try to submit fake documents. I am not mentioning in detail to what documents. But u guys can understand what documents we mean here.
Now the solution would be, draft a document from your company's attorney which strongly supports the need for H4 stamping mentioning you have the right to get H4 stamped as you are on valid H1 in US. And to prove this you are enclosing the supporting document from your Employer.
Now the seconday thing would be incase you have got a first query then while submitting the second time, try having a letter from your Senator which would get positive result.

Congrats!

Can you tell me what is your problem for the H4 Visa and why they rejected you and did you get a letter commenting about your status or something. Or just rejection for the first time.
