Post Practical Training for H4 visa holder student

I'm a student on an H4 visa, and intend to complete my thesis, which in turn will culminate my course, by next summer. Is there post practical training allowance for an H4 visa student? If not, how can I go about acquiring this permit/ period of practical training to put my skills to use? We are currently in the process of getting a GC, although it might take a while., ie., 3 years. I would really appreciate guidance in this regard. Thanks!

You should've changed to F1 status. I don't think PT will be given to H4's. Check with your school's internation student center.

Going to school with H4 is very bad idea. You already consumed your H status and you are not eligible for any OPT too.
You will not get any benefit of a F1 student visa holder. It is too late to regret.
