Hi.
I had my FP done today.
I read that the FP process involves - criminal check + name check + background check + other checks.

Within what time frame should I get concerned that my name is in a name check or i might be in a for a long loop and what/when/who should i call to know that my interview letter is on the way.

how will i know that all has been cleared for me and i the interview letter willbe sent soon. Any tips ?

the name check starts the day the application is processed. Criminal checks happen when the Finger prints are processed.
Give it two weeks from today and call the USCIS 1800 number and ask about your case.
I hope you dont get stuck in the name check. If you have any questions re my Dallas experience just let me know .I am almost done my oath is on Wednesday.
 
The best indicator is to watch for other people with similar PDs in your DO, check the tracker thread for your area . If they get ILs and you still haven't then perhaps it may be a good idea to call the cust helpline.

Calling FBI is useless because all they will say is that the results were sent back to the agency. They don't tell you what the results were etc. So relax and join the tracker thread. It usually takes a few months to see the IL for most DOs.

They dont even tell you if the results were "readable", "legible" etc...Grrr!:mad:
