Entered US today via Boston. Was barely awake after the flight, but the whole process was so smooth that I could have continued sleeping
Reported at the Red Lane titled "US citizens and Lawful Permanent Residents". The immigration officer opened up the packet and took me to a room and asked me to wait. 5 minutes later another officer called my name. I was asked to sign on 2 places and the index fingerprint was taken adjacent to the signatures. I have probably never signed so badly in my life - I was too excited and nervous at the same time. She never asked me for the X-ray. When I offered it to her, she told me that they have stopped collecting them and just asked me to hold on to it.
Does anyone else have similar experiences with the X-ray?
What are the other procedures to be followed now:
1. File a new I9 with employer?
2. Apply for a new SSN card?
Anything else?
