possible outcomes of marriage based interviews

Hello all,

What are the possible outcomes of interview # 1? COuld it just be an approval or a call to interview 2? Is there a possibility of denial in such interviews? If yes, in what circumstances?

Denial would generally result from a person's inadmissibility, in my opinion. That is, the person can't adjust status, but applied for it anyway.

I have not heard of it, but like LucyMO said, it is possible if the person is ineligible to adjust status... or if they overstayed more than 180 days AND traveled with Advance Parole while their AOS was pending.
