My company is facing a possible lay off in the beginning of the next year.
I consider to take unpaid vacation for about 3-4 months until my I-485 is approved.
Could the unpaid vacation put me into trouble with the INS when the I-485 is finally approved.
un-paid leave is fine as far as being on the payroll is concerned but the biggest problem of i485 is the RFE ( request for evidence ) that you will get. at that time you have to show employment letter and pay stubb so being on leave dosent help.
If I am on unpaid leave/vacation i won\'t be getting paid so where will the paystubs come from. So does it mean that while 485 is pending one cannot take an unpaid vacation ?? Gurus please answer this.
