Porting priority date from previous approved I-140

Hi

My I-140 with my current company was approved 18 months ago and I have applied for 485. I have an approved I-140 (that was not revoked) from a previous employer . A request was made to Nebraska center to port the old priority date (along with supporting documents like previous labor/140 and current approved I-140). We have not heard back yet from USCIS? Is there a way to check if they will allow this porting or how they will process this request?

Thanks

When was the request made (i.e. was it before substitutions were eliminated?) The only way to keep your priority date is to file a new PERM LC and I-140 with your new company and request that the priority date be re-captured under the new I-140 with your new company. If you just sent them a letter asking them to give you your old priority date with your new company, I doubt they will do that for you, since I-140 petition is based on the company and not the employee specifically.
