Port of Entry for a Canadian in Mexico

Does anyone know if a Canadian can apply for TN status at a Port of Entry on the Mexico/US border? Or would it be best to enter from Canada?

I just read a reply on another post that the US is the US when it comes to POE. So are there any reason why I would want to apply for TN status from Canada rather than Mexico?

It would be *best* if you cross at Cdn-border POE, if only because the officers have tons of experience processing TN. While, as you say, a POE is a POE, many report little (and sometimes) major mistakes, particularly at airports due to lack of knowledge.

But, if it is more convenient for you to use a southern border, and your case it cut-and-dried, most have no problem at thehose POE's.

Call ahead, some prefer you make an appointment to process TN.
