Port Of Entry (Family based immigration)

my parents have their immigration visa approved (through my moms brother in the US who is the sponsor)
The sponsor lives in Delaware.
I am on H1-B :( and I stay in LA.
They are planning to enter the us for the first time on their immigrant visa ... and would like to come directly to LA. We have heard several caveats suggesting that their port of entry should be some where near delaware on the east coast ... like NY, Philadelphia or NJ. To me it sounds ridiculous but at the same time I am thinking whether it is true ?

Would there be any problems if they come directly to LA ?

hey, u never know what uscis is gonna do,try to let them arrive any where in the east coast.or if u want u can let them arrive in L.A but they should have another reservation ready in hand showing they just gonna visit u or whatever. and they will be leaving to the east, just a proof to the immigration officer that, they ,ll still proceed to either ny,nj,or pa
