First of all, it is up to employers to decide who they give jobs to. You CANNOT blame Mexicans who come from extreme poverty that they want to provide bread for their families. If, however, nobody gave them jobs (look at Canada - hardly any illegal work), there would be no such problems.
A lot of wealthy people and companies are huge hypocrits. They have money to pay for legal cleaners, maids, construction workers, but they choose not to.
I don't support illegal labor, but it is in the hands of the employers to regulate this. I don't understand how Americans don't see that it is not immigrants' fault...just as they don't see that it is their greedy companies who take away their jobs by outsourcing labor to other countries - it is NOT Indians' or Phillipinos' fault. They just want to have an honest day's job. But even less can I understand another immigrant thinking this...
Lastly, for all of you who have no sympathy in your hearts for poor illegal immigrants and who want some hypocricy exposed, I recommend reading "Tortilla Curtain" by T.C. Boyle.
And by the way, WHAT IS UP WITH "WHITE" in your posting? There are plenty legal people who are not white. And vice versa. Long live diversity - it is what will keep this country healthy and alive for years to come.

For instance, I work in high tech field and get paid pretty good..if lets say my employer hires an illegal for half the money i am getting paid....I may not have a job after all?.
This is what Lou Dobbs is trying to say that maybe if there was no mexican maids getting paid 6 per hour...an american would be getting 11 an hour which is the going rate..and the company would have no choice.
I think if these mexicans were educated and had a degree..this would hit harder at the job market rather than just being labeled that Hey they do the jobs that no one else wants.
Has someone thought that maybe that they do the jobs that other one wanted to do at a fair price??
If you have travelled to places where immigration is low..like southern U.S or Oklahoma(central), Central NY(where no one goes)..You will see a white Janitor, a White mcdonalds manager, a White farm worker..and they do get paid good...maybe because there is no "illegal" workers there to take those jobs?...Isn't that the fair way to be in a job market? To get paid what you are worth..?
