Hi, guys!
I hired a lawyer for my application. Well, he heard my story, made some notes, asked me to gather all the evidences, affidavits, etc. When everything was ready to go, he took all the packages. The next 2-3 days he submitted all the package to USCIS. The I received a letter from my lawyer in the mail. It is stating why I should be approved, eligibility, etc. Is it normal procedure? Have you guys had any of these? What else? DOes the letter help?

Thank you all!

It is your lawyer's job to be your advocate and summarize your case, point out what facts in the evidence makes you eligible, and make a legal argument in favor of them granting your request for an immigration benefit, in this case, asylum. If your lawyer didn't do this, he would be incompetent and stealing your money for nothing other than filling out forms. Just make sure that he is not lying or misrepresenting your situation. HIS lies or mistakes could come back to negatively effect YOU.

Take a step back. Read the letter. Is it correct? Pretend it is about a total stranger, forget everything you know about the case. Does that letter make you want to give asylum to the person described?
