Political Asylum for F1 visa

Hello, I've spent several hours reading online forums seeking answers to my situation but still not fully satisfied. Any help will be really appreciated.

Question: Does a person with F1 visa qualify to apply for political asylum once entered in US without going to school for which he got the visa at the first place?

You can apply for asylum no matter what your case is. It really doesnt matter if you went to school or not. But you will need to establish credible fear and/or the reason why you did not attend school during your interview ii hope you have thought of it or contacted a lawyer but once again anyone can apply for asylum.

In order to get the student visa, you had to show an intent to return home afterwards and that works against you on various levels. Did you show strong ties to home country? Did you start out with false evidence and false testimony to get the student visa? It is sort of a "catch 22" situation. You either lied then or are lying now. You start out with a credibility issue. Has there been a crack down on students or members of a group that you belonged to AFTER you left?
