If you are a refugee and you are looking for a good job in a good companies, do potential employers ask you what happened with you in your country? Why did you leave it? And other inconvenient questions.

no , most companies just check if you are eligible in the US and that you have no criminal records. they won;t ask you personal questions

They are not allowed to ask you. They can only check if you are eligible to work, but can’t ask why, how, where you obtained your status that gives you right to work. This for normal Human Resources people who are informed. Unfortunately others will ask, and it happened to me on my old job. Very illegal. I wanted to sue them. I didn’t.
