Police records: questions

Hi everyone! I am getting all my documents together for the interview (most likely in January). I am not sure though which police records to provide. Apologies if these questions have been asked before - I could not find them.

I am a Bulgarian national and have lived there until age of 19. Then I moved to the States and spent about 8 years there as a student on an F1 visa. Then I lived in the UK for 11 months. I have then moved to Switzerland and have been living here for the last 3 years.

I understand I don't need to get a police record from the US as they will do the checks themselves.

I will obtain a Swiss police record.

Do I need a UK police record or a Bulgarian police record? It says on the instructions (dvselectee.state.gov) to provide records from each country where you lived for more than 12 months.

I have read on this forum about people obtaining police records from counties that they've lived for more than 6 months though. Have these requirements changed?

Would appreciate your help!

All the instructions I have seen say 12 months, but you could just get the certificate from the UK anyway to be sure. It is quite straightforward to get a certificate even from overseas. I got one for me and my wife sent to Spain with no issues.

Just google 'acpo' to go to the Association of Chief Police Officers web site, who issue the certificates for the US embassy.
Download the form from there and post it to the UK. You need to give them a list of all of your addresses whilst you were in the UK, 2 proofs of your current address in Switzerland, copy of your passport and 2 endorsed photos. It cost about £35, it took about 3 weeks to be processed, and the customer service email service was very helpful, answering any questions the same day.
