Police Clearance Certificates for IR

I have applied I-130 for my wife in Feb, 2012. The case is still pending with USCIS (California service center). We need Police clearance certificate (PCC) so we have started working on it. She has lived many places in her country (India) before settling to her current location 4 years ago. She has applied PCC at the regional Passport office. But does she need PCC from other locations in India? She has also lived in UK for more than one year. Do we need Police clearance from UK too?

Hi majavacool,

I have the same situation where my passport was issued 6 years ago from Kolkata, and since then I have stayed at multiple cities in India for 2 or more years.
1) Do I need a Police Clearance Certificate from the local police station/district police station of all these places apart from my permanent residence (kolkata)?
2) Do I need a Police Clearance Certificate from the local Passport offices of all these places apart from my permanent residence (kolkata)?
3) Do I need both the documents from all the places I have lived since, including Kolkata?

Please let me know what happened in your case as soon as possible. It will be very much helpful.

I have tried to reach some of travel agencies in Gujarat but did get much information. I got info from agency that I need to get Police clearance letter from local city DSP office. Get affidavit from court. Online appointment. They mention to charge from 2500 RS to 5000 RS. Some mention that person need to Ahemdabad passport office. It requires some letter (checklist/Interview letter) then Ahemdabad passport office will give PCC.

Can someone help me out if you have done this process in Gujarat? My father is from Mehsana area so if you know any agency in Mehsana will be good so I can get help from them.
Do you know PCC require birth certificate ? My father does not have birth certificate. I got affidavit from relatives and non-availability letter from talati(government officer in village).

I am still waiting for NVC give me case number. NVC just received my petition from USCIS this week.

I appreciate your help on this
