Is PCC required for pakistan? the document DSL-1083 is a list of countries where PCC is not available! Does that mean from Pakistan I don\'t need PCC. I lived 10 years in pakistan. I got it from Canada but not sure for pakistan? Please reply if you have real info.
I am from India..and the american consulate in Bombay asked me to get only PCC from Indian consulate in New york..they did not need anything from India..I have been staying here for the past 3 years in USA..
I am going for my CP in Pakistan, my lawyer told me not to worry about PCC as Pakistan is on the list where no PCC\'s are available.
I do have somthing called NOC(no objection certificate) that I got from my local police station in Pakistan.
You don\'t need PCC for Pakistan. There is a list of countries which don\'t issue PCC. Pakistan is one of them. Lucky you! You will need a PCC from all other countries where you spent more than 6 months after you turned 16 years of age. For more information go to immihelp.com and click on consular processing and then packet 3. One of the forms gives a list of countries which don\'t require PCC. Pakistan is one of them.
Shanks, you are right. You need only PCC from the US consulate here. The US one is on-line. At the time of interview the Consulate officer can access the FBI data base for name check. A guy reported that he had problems because some one with a similar name (I think poster Sadik) had a criminal record! But the officer soon found out that it was a person from another country. People with names which run across different countries face this problem.
