I have a query. My cousin's hometown is near Pune and he moved to Mumbai in 2004. he worked in a small job. he got is Passport in 2006 from his home town address. Now he is married & going to the US on spouse cum workvisa. he is able to get the Police certificate from the hometown & also police certificate from mumbai police.In the initial application form it was mentioend that he resided in Mumbai from 2004 and worked in job there. But the police certificate was issued based on passport address date of his hometown as he does not have any address proof at mumbai except a private bank statement that shows his residential address at Mumbai.
Application form = till 2004 stayed at Pune hometown & in mumbai after 2004
Police certificate = till 2006 in hometown and later in Mumbai
Passport = Residential address at pune issued in 2006
visa center wants the dates of police certificate aligned with dates mentioned in the application form where as police has issued the certificate based on dates in Passport with out considering the bank address that shows that he stayed in mumbai from 2004.
What is the way forward for him? Can a covering letter to visa centre along with the bank statement address the issue? He does posses the emplyment certificate from his firm during the period which he has worked.
Any ideas?
