I lived in UK for 5 months, do I need police certificate for UK ?

it clearly says 6 months or more.

Any input is appreciated.

How does the Consulate know about the 5 month stay?

Should one mention in the DS Part1 where they ask specifically for stay greater than 6 months?

GPV, Yes.

You have to write down the duration of where you lived since the age of 16 yrs. City, State, Country you lived for more than 6 mos. If you lived for less than 6 mos. you don\'t even mention on DS-230. You might have a gap. That\'s o.k.
