Does anyone else need to obtain a police certificate for their home country (I'm no longer living there) that has to be done through the US Embassy? I have to send the embassy a form authorising them to obtain it from the police...the forms are not on the website. The only number to call costs minimum £1.23 a minute. I can't call an 0900 number on my work phone. I called from home before I left for work, listened to all the options, selected to speak to someone, and was eventually told by a recorded message they were very busy and I would have to call later. I was disconnected, just after 2 mins. So £3 gone already with no result! There must be an easier way??
