Police Certificate for DV lottery 2012

Hi

I am currently in USA and DV winner, I have decided to go for CP processing in my Country, Do i need to submit USA police certificate ?

Another question I have study in another country beside USA and I have collected my police certificate after getting my certificate and before leaving that country , after that I never went to that country, Do i need to have new police certificate from that country becuse I have already got police certificate during my stay there in that country
 
Police certificates are only valid for 6 - 12 months. you will need to get new certificates so plan ahead.

I am also in US and will be going for CP. DV instructions says police certificates are required for all countries you lived in for more that 6 months except US. There are usually 2 types of background reports for US. The state police clearance and FBI background check.

Can someone confirm this that we definitely do not need FBI background check or state police clearence done when going for CP?
 
Yes, I would like to know this too. I could not locate the info about not needing US police clearance. I would appreciate the link.

it is correct, you are right.
those living or use to live in US in the past do not need US police certification. The US background check ll be performed in the embassy on the day of the interview
