Police case after GC

Guys,

We are running into a very unique situation. I wish none of you wouldn't go through. Me and my wife are contemplating to file a harrasment case against my in-laws i.e. my wife's parents. Will it effect my GC or her pending 485 approval?

I have my passport stamped after 485 approval and my wife is waiting for her 485 approval.
