POE Question

Hello folks,

Refering to cptracker data it seems everyone has already decided their port of entry though their interview dates are not even fixed. Is this something that we need to provide in advance to NVC and the US consulate ???? - I did not see any such item as a part of my packet-3.

In my case I have a few options available and I may decide to fly in from either San Francisco or LA or even I can fly in from the East Coast . And I decided to wait till my interview dates are fixed and start looking for good deals.

Please let me know if I am missing something here.

Thanks in advance,

RK

Port of entry is mainly decided by where the person lives. The
BCIS or the Consulate does not care what your port of entry is.
The Immigration Officer at the POE may ask you where you live
and why are you entering at such and such POE. You just need
to give a reasonable answer.

You can take a free decision about this.

If you are sure about the month of the interview,

it makes sense to plan your travel ahead of time and block tickets. When you block tickets, you will have a temporary itinerary and that's what people are quoting on the forum. If you want to wait until your dates are out, that's fine.;)
