POE issue in I-551 stamping

I just had my I-551 stamp done this morning in San Jose office. But I have a question: in my I-551 stamp the officer put "DET" in POE item (DET is the POE in my last I-94 card), my I-485 approval date in DOE. While in my wife\'s I-551, another officer put "SNJ" in POE, and the same approval date in DOE. But her last I-94\'s POE is also DET(Detroit). Could you explain the inconsistency of the POE? Which one is the right one? I asked the
immigration officer, she just said these are only for INS uses. Could you
confirm that this difference will not cause any problem for us in future?

Thanks,

I can not confirm

But I can tell that in my case and wife case, we got in one stamp WAC and in the other UNK for the POE. They should clearly have a common standard.

Where do you see POE on your stamp?

All I see are:

Date (of Approval), Port, Class, Birthdate, Country (of the PP holders citizenship) and Off# (where the officer signs).

Are you referring to Port when you say POE? or are stamps completely different depending on where you get them (I would not think so)? Port, on our stamps say LOS (which I assume is for Los Angeles). BTW, We got our stamping done in Santa Ana, CA.

Thanks...

Joe, if you didn\'t get stamped for CP...

What did they put on your passport after the CP interview/approval, to let you in at the POE? Seems like people who have posted here are AOS folks though and frankly, I\'m surprised that the stamps are so different.

JoeF: which POE and DOE I should put in AR-11 Form

Thanks for your comments. I care about this POE because I am going to file AR-11 (address change form). It does ask for DOE and POE information. Should I put DOE/POE from my last I-94 card (which is when/where I physically entered US) or put those from my I-551 stamp?

No Title

i think you will need to put POE/DOE from the time you last entered USA regardless of what visa it was on.

Sid52 My stamp doesn\'t have POE,DOE or COE

All it has was A# Stamp with validity date WAC# ,i-89 filed written and signature of the officer I beleive. My wifes stamp is more detailed like the one you have.
