Pls help!!!Wrong Consulate Assigned....Case# Starting with NWD

Hello all,

I had called up NVC recently and found that my case Number starts with NWD
,which I assume is New Delhi.

However, My Primary Consulate would be MADRAS. Who do you think I
should talk to?

PS: I still have not received my P3 as of yet

Experienced ppl with an op please respond!

Get your lawyer to FAX/talk to NVC

I had a similar case, my lawyer requested Chennai by mistake while I wanted Delhi. They spoke with NVC about it, and though I already had been assigned a MDR number, they later issued a NWD number.

Thanks for the Info. I called the NVC up and faxed my correct address
In India, so that they can reassign the consulate.

When do you think I should call them and get the updated case Number?

I am in a similar situation

NVC assigned New Delhi as the consular post for CP, as my first H1b is from New Delhi. But I belong to Chennai region. Should I get this corrected ? Is there a problem if I leave it as is ? Thanks.
