Hi Everyone,

ND I485: 10/02 (self & spouse)
1st FP: 12/02
2nd FP: 07/04
RFE Issued: 08/05/04 (self & spouse), not yet received?

I see a lot of Oct 2002 approvals lately, In my case, I received an e-mail on 5th saying our cases has been issued an RFE. What are the types of RFEs VSC is issuing these days? how long does the RFE take to reach us? I was expecting it yesterday still haven't received it. Also, within how many days do we have to reply the RFE? how long does the case usually take for approval after RFE is responded?

Please throw some light on the above Qs.

Thanks in advance,

Rose

1: US Mail Service, about a week. Ask your lawyer to see if he got it (usually the case).
2: You have, I believe about 90 days to reply.
3: Thre are different theories from the gurus. "Dengdeng's" theory says about thirty days. There is another one, more reliable called the "Chaos theory" = No time promised. This is what USCIS is following recently!

Note: The important aspect about your RFE and others is the TIMING: They could have sent you this in six months or a year, NOT two years.

Now a days mostly RFE are about the medical .
I got my RFE in 2 days. but thats not the hard and fast rule with USCIS as Cinta mentioned. give it a week you will get something.
looks at my signature you might get all the details.
Good Luck.

Have you called CIS customer care? Since they say if 14 days passed you should call. Also I emailed you my email address.

My RFE was issued on 08/06/2004(Friday) and my lawyer received it today(08/10/2004). It was for I 693 supplement(medicals).

Help Please with pending GC

Dear members,

This is my situation. I am under AOS awaiting my GC. My husband is the primary applicant and I am the beneficiary. We have been married for almost 2 years and he filed for I140/I485 at NSC concurrently.

Our marriage is in deep trouble and I want to file for divorce. I understand if I divorce him now, my I485 will be dropped. Can I file for legal separation while still staying together and when I get my GC I proceed with the divorce? Will this route jeapordize my GC application.?

For those who are familiar with the law, I appreciate your advise. I have no one or source to turn to and I am currently unemployed.

Thanks

Get an immigration lawyer and discuss it with him. Good luck.
You may want to consider family counceling...

FIRA : How long it took USCIS to sent you address confirmation after you call them?

RD: 3/2003

Hi All,

I have changed my address on July 20 (no confirmation letter in mail yet. How long it takes??) and on Aug. 4 an RFE was issued which my lawyer hasn't received yet. Is there any relation between my change of address with my lawyer not receieving RFE notice in mail, since he received all the documentation besides the FP1 notice???

Can somebody shed some light and guide me???

Sincerely
