I am in a real trouble. I fear a layoff from my current employer. What I would like to know is that,if I offer to go on unpaid vacation instead , will this affect my GC in any way ?

Do any of the processes after filing I-485 require paystubs at all ??

Once i had discussion with my lawyer on vacation , he said we can take absense of leave from company no pay by pay stub should provide

Please could some explain in detail, I am also in similar situation.

I-140 cleared, Company finacial situation is not good, Lay-offs going on,

Q1] Will INS will ask any of company\'s financial details during I-485 satge.

Q2] In this situation among AOS , CP which one is recomended?

RFE.

I have the same situation. I got layoff. My company will pay me until May because of severance and vacation. But my termination date is March. Can I start new job in March? Or I need to wait until May to fulfill that 180 days requirement. How do INS define that 180 days?? Here\'s my info:

we need pay stubs, absense leave means , you get paycheck but no payment, i mean you pay will be show zero.

Hi Wing,

The regulations for the new laws about 180 days have not been
published yet. People seem to think the 180 days count from RD.
In your situation, to be on the safe side, I\'d think it\'s better
to stay past the 180 day mark and then switch to a new company.
These are just my opinions, not a legal advise.
