Pls help - Expiring passport and visa stamping

My wife is planning to visit India for H4 visa stamping.

My wife's passport expiration date: April 2006
My H1B visa expiration date: Oct 2006

So when my wife apply for H4 visa stamping in India, her visa will be stamped until Oct 2006 but passport will expire before it.
- Will there be any issue during stamping?

I will highly appreciate your suggestions / help. Thank you.

If you have already received a B1/B2 business or visitors visa in the past, you should use that visa until it expires. The visa is still valid even if it is in an expired passport. DO NOT REMOVE the visa or the page on which it appears in your old passport; simply present both passports to immigration authorities in the U.S.

We are unable to transfer a visa from an old passport to a new passport. You will have to apply for a new visa if the previous visa has already expired or will expire in less than six months.


I guess the same will apply for H visas too.
