My spouse's Renunciation request is still pending for almost 60 days (if the updates on Travisa's website are any valid.) The website lists multiple times the application was sent to Embassy and received by them (once every week since 4/19/2011).

I'm not getting much help from the Travisa Customer service, as they indicate it is still with the Embassy. Can anyone knowledgeable advise, if they are aware of any formal complaints/requests (written) one can make with the Indian Embassy. I worry the passport may be lost if the application sits without being nudged forward.

Has anyone used their State Senator's office for issues like these ...

Thanks !!

Your best chances of getting a response or resolution to this is from the embassy, not Travisa.

Try and go to the embassy in person if you live within commute distance or try and get on the phone with the embassy.

When I applied for Renunciation, the website listed 3 times that my documents were sent to Embassy over a period of 4 days. But I was lucky to get my renunciation back in about 2 weeks. I agree with idk, your best shot would be the Embassy; not Travisa.

Thank you for the comments. I live in KY, and that makes going personally very difficult.

I'll try my luck getting someone on the phone. Meanwhile, have send out an email to one mailbox listed on the Embassy website (passport-AT-indiagov.org).

Intend to followup with Certified mail to the Consular Dept @ Embassy in couple of days.

Reading of several horror stories from various members we decided to split the request of Renunciation and OCI application as 2 stages, and hoped this would come thru fine. Guess, I was asking for too much..
