Layer wants 2 birth affidavits for myself.....how and where can i get my birth affidavit...i already submit my indian birth certificate and english translation.

Pls anybody can help me????

Its very easy. You can ask your parents to go to District magistrate & get an affiadvit or alternately get same from a notary. I got mine in 24 hours & I spent about 1000 rupees
 
You should ask both of your parents to sign notarized affidavits on a stamp paper (amount on stamp paper notary can tell them) separately. Then have two friends of your father or mother to also give out notarized affidavits saying they were present when you were born. I guess those should do along with your birth certificate.

Open an e-fax free account and ask your folks in India to fax those affidavits and once you get them fax them over to your lawyer.

thanks a lot for reply ...but problem is my parents visting me here in USA and they are going back in september. Is there any way that we can do affidavit here in US?
 
Open the yellow pages and look for a notary. And check with your local Mail Boxes Etc (UPS Store). Some of them offer notary services. Get affidavits from your parents done here. Ask a friend of your parents to do affidavits from India and have those faxed.

Just verify with your attorney if affidavits notarized here by your parents are okhay.

Hey man... get the the English translation one signed by the guy who did the translation.. He can go to the bank and get it motorized.. but that is actually not required.

The only thing the USCIS needs is the original birth certificate (photcopy) .. in whatever language.
Its translation in English .. and signature of the translator stating that he knows both the language.
