I have wondered for a while that people here post approvals and there are 10s to 50s of people congratulating . And there are so many project ocean activities where we are finding hard to find volunteers.. Please stop this hypocracy. We should create a seperate thread for posting approvals and doing congratulatory stuff. I may be extreme and pissing off many people but this seems were bad when no body is participating in activities and congratulating . This is ridiculous. I am happy for people who have been approved and it is imp that they post their approvals for general trend But i am against creating big thread with congratulatory message. I no body to order any body what to do but since its a forum i am just voicing my frustration.
I ready for backlash......:p :D is there anybody thinks like me:o

I tried to post this message for so many times but couldn't hit the "submit" button. Don't take me wrong, nothing makes me more happy than seeing approvals. Every approval gives me new hope. But, these "congratulations" and other rubish messages fill up the whole message board (just like junk emails) and makes things difficult to find/search, add no value at all .... Good messages are buried in the jungle of "congrats" messages. If this is not enough, some stupids try to compete with others in posting "The first congrats" message... how irritating....

Regarding these "ocean, fax email...."... compaigns, people have lost interest because there are so many of them, a new one every day. Please stop posting more compaigns. We already have enough of them. I doubt that they are effective. Lets wait for the outcome of the law suit.

I also want to say this. There is no requirement that everybody have to post something in order to remain a member. I have seen some posts so moronic that I don't have right words to describe them. People post replies even though they have absolutely no idea of the subject matter. This group of people have something to say on every subject regardless of their knowledge. Example:

Q. I have applied for AP, can I travel....

A. Yes, you can travel. No problem.

Cheers.

Dude, should we start a camapign to end campaigns?

By the by, congrats on being the first to respond to dadagiri!

h

I agree the campains have to be more organized and i tend to think that the emails should be automated here so people just choose whatever letter and send the email. I would tend there should be an automatic email message generator remidning Don Neufeld that what a stupid slacker he is and he should do his job. :p :p

Can't finger out how long you have been waiting for your approval, since on the one hand you have 476 posts and on the other hand you propose people to JUST WAIT.

I have been a member of this forum for one year and half. Have been silently waiting for our approval for 2+ years. But I just can't keep silent any more. What if something happens to us like what has just happened to the lady who lost her husband during AOS?

Having participated in almost all of these campaigns, I knew from the very beginning that most of the emails, FAX's and letters we sent wouldn't alone be effective. But it is for sure nothing good will happen to us if we don't do something at all.

I have been wondering for a long time why so few people are really doing something for the community, which include every sigle one of us. Thanks for offering your answer. If you think these campaigns are not good, propose your better (or worse, which is welcome as well) ideas please.

By the way, dadagiri wants to stop the endless "congratulations" so that these campaigns can be seen.

...
Rajiv has been requesting us our community's efforts,
otherwise we would get no outcome from the lawsuit.
CIS will not settle without some more public pressure.

I always hate this "congratulations" message. But you can always post your message with your signature requesting them to join Project Ocean or similar activities.

First of all let me congratulate you all on taking part in this thread

I hate the congratulations because it has the effect of making old
approvals hang around for days and you have to dig further to
realize they are old.

Just my two cents.

I don't see anybody disagreeing so far. Does anybody like the
congratulations?

I suggst moderators to close approval threads after 3 or 4 days so that there will be no more posts allowed on those threads.

We should always encourage people to post their approvals, so I think we should create a thread "Post your approvals here"..so we know who's getting approved.
Apart from congratulation messages, other messages regarding the experiences are very useful for those waiting for approval.
Alternatively, members should stop posting congratulations a day after the initial post. There is no point in being the 10th or 20th person to congratulate.
It should not turn into a polularity contest.
