Did anyone get your passport stamped in Philadelphia INS after I-485 approval? Please share your experiece. Thanks very much

i am going to phili next week for stamping. waiting for my approval notice. will post on the day i go. when are you going to phili. did you get the approval notice yet? when was the approval date.

ND 7/99, RFE recd 8/7/00, sent documents on 8/16/00, expecting approval by the end of next week.

What documents are you taking with you, apart from approval notice, passport, EAD and arrival cards? Do you have an expectation of what the procedure is? Thanks.

You need to take original approval notice, any EAD cards, any
AP documents,I-94 cards,passport,two color ADIT style photos (INS
Specifications,Similar to the one for EAD). That is it. They will
give you a one year stamp in the passport.You will be Fingerprinted the right index finger for the Green Card. The procedure is
straightforward. Good Luck !.

I am asked, in my approval notice to take exactly the documents he has mentioned
the time is Mon-Fri 8am -3pm

On approval of I485, does the INS give you a specific date to appear for stamping or is it a period of several days?

There is no specific day set. You can go to local INS office listed in the notice as soon as you get the approval notice.

Dear RAV

I had my passport stamped today August 18th at Philadelphia. I have posted the details in " after the green card" discussion group. Please see that for details. Overall it was a simple ceremony with no hassles. I only took the Courtesy copy and there was no problem.
