I had called BCIS for my case status and after 4 weeks they semt me the letter stating the following:

"that we have sent you a fingerprint notice, as you previous one has expired"....

My questions are:

1. Does the 2nd FP notice dispatch, reflects on the online/phone message?

2. This letter was mailed on 24, July, how long does it take for BCIS to issue 2nd FP notice, like period?

3. Most important, I think I am positive they do it, but will they send the 2nd FP notice copy to my lawyer also, just in case my FP notice got lost in the mail?

4. How long does it take for BCIS to process change of address request as this status letter went to my old address although I had called them for C.O.D. on July 9.

Your resposnes will be really appreciated.

NOTHING.....

1. Not all the time. Where as my wifes online case status is not even changed even after recieved 2 FP notice. It depends
2. You should recieve it any time soon.
3. Your lawyer also recieve a copy of it. Don't worry in case it is lost in mail, lawyer will have one.
4. I don't know how long it is going to take but I think it should be immediate.

forum123, you gave us worry. The 2nd fp notice can get lost either in mail or at BCIS. and there's no way you can tell the 2nd fp notice has been issued from online message. I saw someone wife got 2ndfp, himself not. So that notice is very fragile!

I would say wait a while, if you still haven;t received the notice, then use this mail and your old finger print notice, go to BCIS support center, and show them the letter, they probably will let you do it. I saw WhenGC did 2nd fp even without a notice. Right now I'm waiting for his reply, as soon as he reply, we'll know if you can go there without a notice.

forum123, no matter if you change the address or not, they will send the notice to your old address, somtimes to new address as well. Do you have mail forwarding service

Yes I have requested the forwarding but for some reason those morons did not put my middle initial on the cover letter, so probably the forwarding did not pick it up, but I am counting on the fact that Lawyer should get it, so far I have not heard anything from his office too, I will give a call tomorrow.

The very reason I left the old place was that my neighbours were complete jerk and I suspected them of stealing my mail too, now even after applying for C.O.D they still sent the letter back to the old address, the BCIS personnel told me that I should get confimation fro COD in 4 weeks so far it is the 3 week only so I am not blaming them.

I was FP'd twice before, 1st in Mar-02 but my FP was not taken properly so went there again in Apr-02, after that there is nothing.......
