I have not recived my RFE as of now, 8/7/03. Status indicates it's been sent on 7/25. More than 12 days.
I filed I131 for Advanced Parole - Receipt sent on 7/24/03 and received 7/28/03. Do they use a different shipping service for RFEs?

I didn't see this thread before, so I created a new one and posted my details there.

FP-05-31-02 (recd by INS)
RFE-08-04-03 according to online/phone

My wife's still says FP recd June ....I keep calling my lawyer and they're just BSing. They haven't recd the letter yet and it takes 2 to 4 weeks to receive the letter... I am wondering how I can know the details for what reason RFE was generated. Do I get a copy for myself. Please share your experiences.

In 03/2003 I switched my job after around 1 & 1/2 year of waiting for 485 approval. Later, I got an RFE on 04/11/2003 and unfortunately my reply got delayed till 06/16/2003.

Now, the on line status shows 'RFE response received on 06/24/2003'. Meanwhile I received the second FP notice scheduled on 08/12/2003 in the state where I moved out of. However, on 07/24/03 I walked in a local Applicaion Support center in a different state and had my FPs taken. The on line status has not changed yet.

My questions are:
1. Is it common not to have FP status update for an RFE?
2. I observed the decision on my RFE was taking too long. Can I do anything about it?

Hi Marcus,

For FP, the on-line status can be updated in a week to a month. But for 2nd FP, maybe never before your approaval. But I think you can count your days now:)
