dear sir / madam


I went the U.S. Consulate General Jerusalem on 4th February and there was Arabic lady on window took my papers and she asked me about high school but I don’t have high school i just have been finish 12 years from school not genral exmination or sat and i have a cousre in hotel manaegmnt for 1 year , but I have an experience worked 2 years as waiter in hotel and worked in compnay or furniure 5 years as salesman in Doha Qatar and worked as sales manager from may 2010 till now my questions can I apply by the experience for dv lottery cuse the lady told me if i want to apply i have to send them an email to prpepr anew appoitmnet all i want to know is my expirnice its fine and let me get the green card or maybe they will rejct me and not get back my money if i pay wish to hear from you soon

Note that I didn’t pay money on interview
 
from what you wrote I highly doubt you will be able to qualify on work experience but you can check the eligible occupations on the O*NET website. If you did a one year course in hotel management then I assume you finished high school successfully. I suggest getting a letter from your high school principal showing that you attended there for the required period of time to be considered a high school graduate. Do this urgently as you will need to make a new appointment for interview and that may take a while.
 
It's important to check that O*Net database carefully. Not just to see that your occupation is on the list. There's every job on the planet in that database but there are two important factors for DV eligibility when it comes to work experience: Job Zone and SVP (Specific Vocational Preparation, or how much study/preparation it takes to get into that job).

To qualify for the DV: Job Zone has to be 4 or 5 and SVP has to be greater than 7.

Waiters are Job Zone 1, SVP of less than 4.0.
Retail Salespeople are Job Zone Two, SVP of 4.0-6.0

Neither qualify.

You haven't been a Sales Manager long enough to claim that as your work experience.

So as sonibago says, your only hope is the High School certificate. Good luck with that.

Hi ramialbarri,
To get visa based on work experience, you must have worked for at least two years in a job that requires at least two years of training. As you have not taken a two years training for any of your jobs, you will not qualify based on work experience. You need to present proof of completion of high school (transcript, high school certificate...) If you also don't have this proof, they may not give you the visa. Try to talk to people in your country who know how to go about such matters and do your best on time. Good luck.

With the quoted suggestion above,I think you get the letter from your principal as an evidence since u do not have O level to present.The letter from your principal can help you get your visa with God's favour which we are praying for on all members on this forum.

Get the letter as soon as possible so that u can reschedule ur iterview and be more prayerful cos there is nothing God cannot do.He will perfect all that concerns u and ALL other members waiting to be interviewed in Jesus name,AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
