This immigration process is driving me nuts...my interview is sched for dec22nd..and as the day is getting closer my depression..anxiety level is getting higher and higher...esp when i read different members post..and the proof/documents they have gathered for their case...Last night i had nightmare that Donald Rumsfeld is taking my interview..Fk!!

this goddamn interview letter is becoming more addictive than porn...i had to read it everyday..again N again just to asure myself that i have not missed a single word -- pathetic!!!..i had never been so desperate for anything like this...anyway..this pandora box>>AKA my interview letter revealed that i need to take Affidavit of support form w/other documents for interview.
Now iam freaked out..I remember when i submitted my i-485 package i also included Affidavit of support form)filled up by my wife)..my wife income was below poverty level and i was going to college..my lawyer told me i will require co-sponser.
My lawyer told me that if INS asked for cosponser me i will have to send cosponser form...but INS never asked for cosponser form...now I am wondering are they(INS) going to ask for consponser??.
My brother had already signed the form and i have his three year tax returns..but few months back he moved to different country...I do not have his recent job letter(I have his old job letter) ..i do not have time...and no one to cosponser me beside my brother...I have just received the EAD and I am still looking for job...
I am sooo screwed..please guide me

Don’t you know that INS retains the right to see the original document of ALL the paperwork someone has submitted to them, AND they also retain the right to verify all the information provided to them on the application? For example, if you have written your SS number on the application form, then they may ask you to show SS card to verify it. That said, forget about whatever you have submitted to them previously because you need to bring everything and anything to your interview if you want your case not to be denied or continued.

About your question of Affidavit of Support form then INS most of times requires updated Affidavit of Support form, which make them to ask it again even though applicant has submitted it to them at the time of filing the whole application package. Further, you have to remember that just because interview letter has asked you to bring this and that, doesn’t mean officer would ask you all the documents mentioned on interview letter.

In addition, you should always bring another Affidavit of Support form. If your brother is still a US citizen or a LPR then he could still qualify to co-sponsor you even if he has moved to another country unless he moved there permanently. The bottom line is, it is your problem/responsibility to find a co-sponsor if your wife has no enough income. Period. Fulfilling all the requirements and proving your case is your burden, and not the burden to INS.

“Last night i had nightmare that Donald Rumsfeld is taking my interview”

Does Mr. Donald scare the hell out of you? Though I’m not a Republican, but I think he is fair and balance. However, he seems to look like a goofy person to me.

“this goddamn interview letter is becoming more addictive than porn”

But I’m sure it won’t be as sweeter as porn though, am I right? :p

Do you have any assets to cover the difference? 401K? property? life insurance -I think is an option?

Remember your income can also qualify. Take a look at the affidavit form again and see what numbers you can come up with.
