My company promissed to use a pre approved LC for my GC processing if I move down to Georgia. Now that I am in Georgia, I come to know that the LC (they were planning to use) is passed state level and is now in Federal level since Feb 2003. Looking at the DOL website, I realize that they are already processing April 2003 cases, but still my lawyer insists that they haven't heard anything about my LC.
Can the lawyer ask the DOL or do something to speed up the LC processing in this case. Also, what are the specifics I can ask the lawyer to make sure that there is in deed an LC being processed in DOL.

Thank you very much folks,

You can verify through AVM (automated voice message) using following phone #.
AVM : 404-562-2131

If you happend to have case #, you search with case #.
Otherwise use company's phone # to search. I believe you should have copy of 750 by this time and you can find what company's phone # they have given.

Also, search in DOL database and try to find your case# and other details..

Confermation from DOL website.

Thanks again Some GC. Checking at the site you provided I see 3 applications filed by my company for the month of Feb. all three have the event description as Recieved Regional office. What does this imply. Also how to figure out which one would be used for my GC processing. The rest of them have event description as Certified. Should I now just wait till the status changes, or can I ask the lawyer to ask the DOL for an explination on why our application is still pending, while the current processing dates are showing April. (and while our application was submitted in Feb).

There is something the lawyer is not telling me. Don't know what. They keep responding in terms of potential substitution of labor, and not 100% substitution of labor for me.

Thank you very much,
