Hi ALl

Suppose a Person , who has his I-140 done with company A and will shift to Company B , and if the number of years on H1 is only a year , can he use the Extension of H1 period.

Absolutely. I140 technically has no bearing on the H1 time limit but you may have to redo I140 once you switch to another company.
