Gurus,

I think we should open a thread for who got interview letter and finally have begun to know that your interview has been cancelled for different reasons.

In my case I went to the Harford, CT DO office for interview and they said my file was not reached there.

Please write your expereince and if you got re-scheduling after cancellation, please share with us how you get the re-appoinment. I mean what you did for that? Did you write some where or get a infopass etc?

And what will be our next step to re-scheduling the interveiw?

Sounds like nobody got their interview cancellation here except me. That's a real good news.

Still if anybody is out there. Please share with us. It's really frustrating situation.

My interview appointment for November 17th was canceled on September 3rd.
Haven’t heard back from INS ever since.
If you remember I wrote about it in another of your treads.
I know how frustrating it is. I keep checking my on-line portfolio for any LUD changes, I rush to mailbox every day…. Nothing!.....and it’s driving me crazy…
I’ll post my update here, if anything changes.

My LUD changed today with a weird message that today they received my application for a processing here. Where is “here” I don’t know , but looks like they are working on my case.

No news yet Jane, But I got an Infopass on Nov 11. Let's see.
I think Your DO got your file and started processing. That's a real good news. MY file goes to ware house instead of DO. I pray for you. You will be all set. And wish me luck.

Dip,
I sent two letters back in September – one to my local DO and another to MSC, from where my appointment and cancellation notices came from.
Nobody bothered to reply, or anyhow acknowledge my request.
From what I learned from a customer service lady on a phone: if your interview was canceled, you should hear back from INS within 60 days. My last case update was made in almost exactly 60 days.

My “practice interview”

Yesterday I had a “practice interview”.
As you remember I told you my interview was canceled, however – my sons’ interview went as scheduled, despite my letters (which were ignored) and several phone inquires to customer service, who told me it was normal that child’s case get adjusted faster due to a shorter or none of the background check.
I had some doubts as to outcome of this interview; however the letter said he must appear, so we did...All three of us....
First it all went as it should: “Pease raise your hand and swear to tell the truth and only truth , or help you God…..Give me his passport…...his medical…....and then – are you his mother?
Can I see your green card?
“Unfortunately, we cannot adjust your son before you”…and bal bla bla …..

I told them that I was ready right then and right now, if they have my file in their office. I showed him some of my paperwork, including my latest case update printout.
The adjustor looked up in the computer and said my file wasn’t there, it got moved back to a service center. He put a note on my son’s file and told us he will forward it back to them to be joined with mine.

My goodness! You bet I told him I sent a request awhile ago asking them to do just that and his answer was : …. they are getting so many mail every day, unfortunately some of it is getting unnoticed until later….
So, there we were – woke up before the birds, drove for two hours up to Tampa and then back and all for nothing!
I took a day off from work for which I won’t get paid and they didn’t even bother to check the age and the status of the person before calling him up on the interview?!!!

Now I am back to the square one. Nobody knows where exactly my file is, but my LUD has been changing every day since Nov.1st, so someone somewhere is working on it, or so it seems…..

I got a I-485 re-finger print notice from our local DO last Friday which is scheduled on Nov 17. 05. Hopefully they got my file otherwise how come they will know that my fingerprint has been expired which I did on Aug 14, 04 and they updated online on Aug 19, 04.

I am understanding your feelings. All mighty will help everybody. Just pray for that. I will keep you guys posted about my case.
