Things are really bad in our country, our situation is turning worse. The place were I was living was searched for military intelligence and my father in law was deteined by armed forces, it's a public information that they are looking for me. We obtained all the documentation that probe the detention (news in the newspaper and video) Are there any way to up-date USCIS with things are happening right now in order to accelerate our processing?????

Thanks!!

Devildog, I hate to say you NO.USCIS is not going to listen to all this. I sure wish USCIS would have treated us that manner but unfortunately we all asylees are just a case file or a numeric number to them. Your situation, emotion, suffering has no value to them what so ever. Only way that I think listening to your situation may help & that's congressional help. Write your local Senator every details with solid proves if possible. An enquiry from Senators office to USCIS is your only bet & best bet.
You can write describing your problem to USCIS & mail them 100 letters but as I mentioned earlier no response or if you are lucky they may just reply you saying ( very unlikely) we are dealing with ND !!!!!!!!!!!!! at this point therefore wait till your turns come. But if your Senator makes an enquiry that has much weight that you & I try our best.
Good luck.
Atique.

I understand that your case is been considered by an asylum officer, and that you are in US at this time.

The fact that things have worsened in your home country poses no direct danger to you. As a result, I don't believe USCIS sees any need in speeding up your approval.

Unless you could prove that delaying your approval poses direct danger to you.

There's no reason for CIS to speed things up, but consult with your lawyer--the additional information may make your case stronger. If so, it can help prove your case, thus making the decision easier for the asylum officer = faster processing.

If you don't have a lawyer, find out a way to talk to the asylum officer.

On the other hand, like others said, this may not help you at all. But it can't hurt to try.

Good luck.

The INS would probably not speed up things as others have said. But, I strongly recommend that you send the new evidence you obtained as if I understand you correctly, you still have not gotten your asylum approved, and that would help support your case further.

Good luck!

Devildog,I have some questions before I answer some of youe questions.
Is your signature information about your asylum or your Green card ?
If you are in the U.S what are you worried about?
Do you want a derivative asylum for your family back home?
Please explain more clearly and we can give you feed back.

As I understand it the OP's ASYLUM application is still pending before the Miami Asylum Office.

If you have new development which is a positive for you please do submit the new information. It could only help.

You or your attorney should call the Asylum Officer and ask what is the delay in making a final decision.

Yes send the information in--to the attention of the officer who interviewed you.

Were you able to get a DL in Florida?

Why did you wait so long to apply for your green card?

Thanks for answer, I will apply to Dl this week, after had been studied. I'm just applied for asylum last JUN, not for Green Card yet.

Thanks buddy. I send the evidences to the Asylum Officer. Also I'm contacting Mel Martinez to send him a letter about my case. Somebody is questioning my worry has been in the States. I know my wife, kids and me are safe, but my family in my country did'nt have the chance to flew out with us. They are no justice there.

I'm here in the States with my wife and kids, but my family and her family are suffering the consequences of our persecution. Currently we just did the interview last SEP and We are waiting for an answer of USCIS. So we don't have anything yet.
Last sunday the armed forces intelligence took my father in law to prision as manner of pression to know where I am. He was declared an spy to US and receive charges as traitor.

Devildog,thank you for the info.
First thing to do is to go to the office where you got interviewed and find out your status. It shouldn't take that long after the interview.
The best thing is to hire a lawyer in case they refer you to an immigration judge.
If everything is OK it normally takes maximum one month after the interview to get the reply in the mail.
I hope everything wil be ok but incase be prepared to hire a lawyer.
About your family back home, there is little you can do.

good luck

Thanks buddy, maybe the delaying is because I was and armed forces officcer in my country. They told me on my last consultation in person and also by mail about my case that it is still pending for decision. I hope everything is well. Actually I'm going to apply for EAD next monday (it is my 150th day). Thanks and good look
