Recently, I had an offer from a company in my home country. I'm really interested in this position since it offers me much bigger responsibility. I don't plan to become US citizen in 5 years, but I would like to maintain the GC.
1. Can I go back to US once every 4-6 months? I will stay in US for two weeks everythime. My wife and my daughter will stay in US for one year at least and we have a house.
2. Should I apply I-131 (re-entry permit)?
3. My contract is 5 years. Can I renew the I-131?
I received GC in March 2007, EB1.

Thanks!

A1: That will not work
A2/3: You may get a 2 year permit, but not one that will allow you to stay outside the US for 5 years

Is it a US corporation? Meaning at least 50% owned by US citizens, or exclusively traded on a US stock exchange? That's probably the only way you're going to spend that much time abroad and still have a strong chance of keeping the card.

Yes, some people take a trip back to the US every 5 or 6 months, stay for a couple weeks and leave again, but that is not a safe route ... some ultimately lose their cards for that after USCIS recognizes the pattern of what they've been doing.

You can renew the I-131, but that renewal might be for less than two years.
